Grandchildren

For me the most wonderful thing are my grandchildren. My daughter has been sick and needed to go to the doctor today. Cameron had been sick we think but seemed ok. So mamaw headed out to watch the kids. Have you ever been told to not let your grandchildren get in your face. IT CAN'T BE DONE. I believe God gives mamaw's immunity to grandchildren germs. This afternoon, I've played hide 'n seek under a blanket, helped play Star Wars Lego on x-box, and changed diapers. Oh! one more thing Justin and I sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. I tried singing other songs, but he just covered my mouth with his little hand. There is nothing like being a grandparent. The only thing I would change is having all my grandchildren here in town with me.

Jingle Bells

What a pleasant surprise for David and I tonight. He saw someone pull into our driveway about 8:00 pm. It was carolers. Three men we have attended church with in the past sang two songs for us. It was great! I remember as a teen and a young adult singing carols for the shut-ins in our church and I guess we have reached that point.

HAPPY FESTIVUS

Are you a Senifeld Fan? We are, so when I saw this I had to share it with all of you.

Many Christmas's ago, Frank Costanza went to buy a doll for George. There was only one doll left and when he reached for it, so did another man. After struggling for the doll, he thought there could be another way. The doll was destroyed, but out of that, a new holiday was born. It was called Festivus. A Festivus for the rest-iv-us..

Celebrated December 23rd each year.

The Meal: What ever you want

During the last few weeks in December when Festivus takes place, families and friends get together at the dinner table and have something called "the Airing of Grievances". Durning this time, we share with family and friends all the ways they had disappointed over the past year.
After the Airing of Grievances, we get together right in the same night to do something called "Feats of Strength". This is where the head of the household tests his/her strength with another friend or family member. The great honour is given out to a different person each year. In Seinfeld, Cosmo Kramer was given the honor but turned it down to George Costanza as he had an appointment.

Now for the pole. No it is not a tree. A pole, no decorations. Frank Costanza believes that tinsel is very distracting so there are no decorations. The pole is tall, silver, hollow, long, skinny, and heavy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! &
HAPPY FESTIVUS TO THE REST OF US!

BABIES not Baby

Audra called this morning while I was in the lab at the Dr. office. David was on his cell phone talking and smiling. He handed me the phone and said talk, I'll get the car. He kept walking backwards watching me. Audra said are you sitting down? No. So I sat down and she said, when you come up in May for the baby, You will have TWO BABIES to hold not one. I said no way and she said it was true they had just found out. They couldn't determine the sex this time because both legs were crossed. Will keep you posted. Noah found out when he came home from school. She said his jaw dropped. He wants sisters. I think we all do, at least one. We got sonogram pictures via e-mail this afternoon and you can really see two. Well this Mamaw has got the big family she has always wanted. Now if I could get them all back in the USA.

McAlister's Deli

have you eaten at a McAlister's Deli? Well David and I have. I got a gift card from a friend. This was back in Oct., we went in I told David what I wanted and then went to sit down. He was gone and gone and gone, I looked up and saw him with several employees & the store manager, finally he came to the table and said he had to pay for it, the card wasn't any good. When I took it back to my friend, she was ticked. She had purchased more than one. She got that taken care of and gave us back the card. We went Saturday night. Same as before David went to order and I went to a table. I kept my eye on him and in a few minutes here came with our tea. They were not busy at all, but that changed real quick there was a line of people. They would order and sit down, then I got to looking and all these people behind us in an order line were getting their food, but not us. We waited at our table for 40 minutes (for a bowl of chili and a baked potato). I had had it about this time and we asked for our money back. We explained what had happened and they said they could only put the money back on the card no cash. So we did, saying we did not know for sure we would ever use it again. So 50 mionutes after we walked in we walked out and had nothing to eat. We went to China Garden not exactly what I wanted but they had food.

so that was our night out on a Saturday night.

Angie

I want to tell you about my sweet daughter-in-law. I don't know how to describe her, and if you know her you know why I can't. She has such a sweet spirit about her. Lot's of in-laws don't get along because most boys are mamma's boys. Angie took over with Bobby where I left off. She completes him. We have laughed together, cried together had lots of fun over these past years and I miss her as much as I do Bobby, but I know he and the kids are fine because Angie is there. She makes herself at home at my house and even cleans up after me. Tomorrow is Angie's birthday and I can't talk to her so maybe Angie is you read this you will know how much you are loved here in San Angelo.

Love You, xoxoxoxox

Fed Up With Britney!

I for one am fed up with all the attention Britney Spears is getting now. What kind of roll model is she for our young women and girls. What is she and her friends trying to prove partying until the wee hours of the morning. If she doesn't want to wear panties OK, just don't throw it in our face. She needs a reality check

Thanksgiving Day

What a beautiful day. David and I along with the Bray family went to Comanche to have lunch with David's dad and step-mom with her two daughters. We had lunch in a beautiful place called Yumm's The Word. What a quaint building and the food was delicious and we didn't have to do dishes afterwards.

The fun part of the trip was riding with Becky, Justin & Cameron. What a trip. Be sure and check her blog for her insight.

Happy Thanks Giving.

Junk E-Mail

I just checked my e-mail before going to bed and I had 245 junk e-mails today. This is ridiculous. Some of them are more than once. I hate it. I don't open any because I'm afraid of getting more.

Going to bed.

Later,

My own Pitty Party

Today has been the worst for me. Becky met the group at the airport that had been to see Bobby and family. She called me on her way home crying saying she just wanted to see Bobby walk in, then my water works started, and have been off and on. I am so thankful that she and her family are here in San Angelo, but I wish we were all together. With Bobby, Angie and the kids in South Asia, Audra, Pat and Noah in Michigan, there are not any easy trips to see family. Audra is going to have a baby in late May and I can't even see her pregnant and that makes me sad. To top it off today I looked at a video the kids made for me for Mother's day. I can't watch that again. I guess David knew how I was feeling and tried to cheer me up, he bought me a new cell phone. It's pink and takes pictures. That brings up another subject. Can anyone remember when you just had 1 phone in your house and it was in the hall? Now we have a phone in every room (except the bathroom and that's because we don't have a phone jack in there), David has one, I have one & there is one in his shop. There is not an excuse for anyone not to be able to get a hold of me. Is that good? Well I've cried and griped enough will be back later.

Babysitting & Sonic

The boys made a request and I gladly accepted. Here is the proof...

My First Post

Welcome to my blog. This is my first time here. I'm new at this. Bare with me. I do not claim to be a professional. So keep your judgements to a minimum. Tee hee hee.
